Become an integral part of Canada Packers as an Animal Care Technician in Souris, MB. This role focuses on animal health alongside fulfilling various physical duties every day.
In this full-time position, you will work at the Progilt Finishing farm to support the daily operations. Responsibilities include feeding, monitoring herd health, and maintaining a safe environment for the animals. You'll collaborate closely with management, ensuring all safety and humane treatment protocols are followed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide daily feeding and care for pigs
• Maintain a clean and secure habitat for animals
• Conduct minor maintenance and sanitation tasks
• Manage clerical responsibilities like inventory tracking
• Uphold health and safety SOPs in all tasks
Requirements:
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
• Capacity to work shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Driver’s license and transportation needed
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Experience in hog production is beneficial
