Duties to include:

Preparing and administrating radioactive agents to patients and performing nuclear medicine procedures; Acting within the policies, procedures, work practices and license conditions of the nuclear medicine department and in compliance with the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission Regulations; Performing quality control checks on all imaging equipment, thyroid well and uptake unit; Communicating effectively with patients, DI staff, physicians and radiologist; Determining the proper camera and correct image parameters, collimator, computer combination and any other accessory equipment required for the procedure; Performing radio-pharmacy rotation, preparation and qc of radiopharmaceuticals and dose calibrator check, Ensuring reagents and kits are stocked and rotated to assure expiration dates are current other related duties. Minimum Qualifications:

Must have successful completion of a formal study in Nuclear Medicine as a Medical Radiation Technologist from a recognized program.



Must be registered with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT), the College of Allied Health Professionals of Prince Edward Island (CAHPPEI); and the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists-Atlantic (CAMRT-ATL); Excellent written and oral communication skills are required; Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a multi-disciplinary team is required; Applicants must have a valuable previous work and attendance record; Additional relevant education and experience will be considered an asset.
