Support sustainable mineral extraction as a Geotechnical Drilling Monitor with Stantec in Calgary, Alberta. This is a 14/7 fly-in/fly-out field position focused on monitoring drilling rigs and geotechnical testing.

Stantec is seeking skilled Geological / Geotechnical Drilling Monitors to join their team. With three years of experience in Sonic/Mud Rotary/Dual Rotary drilling, candidates will work independently in the field while reporting to project managers. This role requires engaging in detailed borehole logging and transportation of collected samples, integral to future mining initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:



• Monitor Sonic/Mud Rotary/Dual Rotary drilling rigs • Perform geotechnical testing and install monitoring equipment • Conduct borehole logging per project specifications • Ensure compliance with Borehole Information Sheets • Transport soil samples and interact with mining equipment

Requirements: • 3 years’ experience in drilling and geotechnical testing • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License • Expertise in Oil Sands geology • Standard First Aid Level C certification • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Geology
