As a casual cook reporting to the Food Service Manager, you will prepare meals based on therapeutic menu plans and ensure quality controls are met. Your role requires active supervision of the kitchen environment, including training dietary aides and maintaining cleanliness standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare meals in accordance with therapeutic dietary guidelines
• Control food temperature and quality for service areas
• Assist and train dietary aides in food prep standards
• Ensure kitchen operations run efficiently and smoothly
• Maintain sanitary conditions in food storage and preparation
Requirements:
• Red Seal Certification or relevant work experience
• At least 2 years of experience in food safety training
• Strong multitasking and organization abilities
• Dependable attendance and independent work
• Must be able to stand for extended periods
