In the Safety Specialist position, your primary focus will be supporting the Safety Excellence program across all Fountain Tire locations. You will be responsible for conducting on-site safety audits, fostering partnerships with regulatory bodies, and developing training initiatives. Your role will also involve coaching management on safety procedures and incident reporting to enhance the overall safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform on-site safety audits semi-annually
• Manage relationships with external auditors and boards




• Guide WCB incident investigations and filings
• Develop and implement safety training programs
• Create tools and resources to assist safety efforts
Requirements:
• Post-secondary certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
• At least 2 years of practical safety experience
• Familiar with WCB and emergency procedures
• Strong decision-making and communication skills
• Willingness to travel for audits and support visits
