In this permanent role, you will manage staff and oversee the execution of innovative waste reduction initiatives. You will play a crucial role in achieving the City’s environmental goals while ensuring compliance with legislation, and communicating effectively with various stakeholders. Your leadership will promote a collaborative setting focused on results.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and mentor staff in waste operations • Develop comprehensive work plans and budgets • Ensure adherence to the Occupational Health and Safety Act • Monitor and report on program performance indicators • Prepare reports for Council and community stakeholders
Requirements: • Post-secondary education in Environmental Studies or similar • Experience with solid waste legislation and municipal operations • Demonstrated leadership abilities in a relevant setting • Strong communication and organizational skills • Valid Class G driver’s licence and clean driving history
