Empower individuals in need as a Respite Worker with AdaptAbilities, providing in-home support in Edmonton. This fulfilling full-time role focuses on fostering relationships and community inclusion.
As a Community Specialist in our In-Home Program, you will provide direct care to an adult participant while promoting dignity and personal goals. AdaptAbilities values individuals who demonstrate integrity, teamwork, and a passion for enabling those with diverse abilities. Your efforts will help create engaging, meaningful experiences every day.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver direct care and engaging support in a secure environment • Build genuine relationships to promote personal interests • Assist participants in achieving their life goals • Communicate clearly with team members and families • Adhere to company policies in documentation and reporting
Requirements: • Minimum High School Diploma; prior experience preferred • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle • Clear Police Information and Intervention Record Checks required • Intermediate First Aid Certification CPR Level C and AED necessary • Familiarity with Crisis Intervention protocols is beneficial
