The City of Burlington is hiring a full-time 310T Truck and Coach Technician to ensure safe vehicle operations. This position requires expertise in repairing various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical components. You will be responsible for executing inspections, maintenance, and repairs, while also making use of diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues.
Key Responsibilities:
• Repair and maintain transit and specialized fleet vehicles • Conduct MTO inspections to ensure safety regulations • Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment effectively • Maintain accuracy in reporting and documentation • Work on HVAC, electrical, and braking systems
Requirements: • Class G driver’s license with a clean driving history • Valid 310T Truck and Coach Mechanic Certificate required • Ability to get an Ontario “C” or “B” license with “Z” air brake endorsement • Must have a complete set of hand tools • Previous experience in vehicle diagnostics is a plus
