Join WOCRC as a Community Youth Care Practitioner, focusing on youth aged 12-26 in Kanata, Goulburn, and West Carleton. This adaptable role involves outreach and developing community programs to support youth needs.
As a part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will empower youth and their families while facilitating leadership and mentoring workshops. This role is crucial for building community capacity and improving resources for public education. Candidates must be flexible for on-call shifts, including nights and weekends, and be well-versed in fostering youth resilience and advocacy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify at-risk youth needs through outreach efforts • Facilitate community-based mentoring and leadership workshops • Implement community special projects • Promote volunteerism and supervise program volunteers • Ensure collaboration with program staff and community partners
Requirements: • Diploma in Child and Youth Care or related field • At least 1 year of relevant experience • Familiarity with group facilitation processes • Understanding of LGBTQ+ and resilience building • Fluent in English with strong communication skills
