We are a First Nations school located in northern Ontario, in western James Bay, with an enrollment of 130+ students in Grades 7-12. The school is in Moose Cree First Nation on Moose Factory Island, with a population of over 3,000, and is accessible by boat during the open-water season and by ice road in the winter.QUALIFICATIONS- Principal Qualifications, Parts 1 & 2- Current registration and in valuable standing with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT)- Experience and qualifications in Intermediate and Secondary Grades- Qualifications in Special Education, and/or Reading/Writing, and/or Math are an asset- Knowledge of best practices in instructional strategies, assessment and evaluation- Knowledge of First Nations Intermediate/Secondary Education programs, policy, and initiatives- School leadership and supervisory experience required- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Excellent organizational and administrative skills- Excellent budgeting, financial planning,
