The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is hiring a Compliance Hydrologist in St. Paul, featuring a work workplace with up to 50% telework. This full-time role offers a vital opportunity to support water resource regulation.
As a member of the Ecological and Water Resources Division, your responsibilities will center around ensuring compliance with water regulations and promoting sustainable practices throughout the state. You will work closely with local governments and stakeholders to improve water management and resource conservation.
Key Responsibilities: • Verify compliance of projects related to water appropriation • Facilitate monitoring and restoration as needed • Provide guidance to DNR staff and community partners • Advocate for sustainable water resources management
Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of science or engineering • Minimum two years in water resource or hydrology work • Technical writing experience and data collection skills • Knowledge of water management best practices • Class D Driver’s license and clean driving record
