UBC is seeking a Union Roofer & Caulker to contribute to its building operations. This role focuses on the preventative maintenance and repair of roofs using established techniques.
In this CUPE 116 position, you will engage in skilled work related to the construction and maintenance of roofs. Your responsibilities will encompass troubleshooting, caulking repairs, and guiding apprentices as needed. You’ll also have the chance to develop your skills further within a cooperative environment, promoting safe and effective work practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Request and manage materials for projects
• Execute roofing repairs on various materials
• Conduct inspections and submit reports
• Provide estimates for repair and replacement costs
• Ensure adherence to safety practices
Requirements:
• Trade certification as a Roofer at journeyperson level
• Five years of relevant experience
• Valid BC Driver’s license required
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Strong communication and organizational skills
