As a Weld Engineer, you will report directly to the Engineering Manager while implementing state-of-the-art welding practices. This role requires expertise in developing Welding Procedure Specifications and Qualification Records and involves hands-on collaboration with Robotic Weld Technicians to enhance quality and efficiency. A proactive approach in executing initiatives will be essential for success in this dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct welder certification testing and maintain records
• Develop Welding Procedure Qualification Records and Specifications
• Program and optimize robotic weld cells
• Train associates on welding procedures and techniques
• Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing
Requirements:
• 2-year Welding Technology Associate Degree or 4-year Bachelor's Degree
• 3–5 years experience in a fabrication manufacturing setting
• Certified Welder or Certified Welding Inspector certification
• Excellent knowledge of GMAW and GTAW processes
• Strong ability to read blueprints and operating manuals
