This position based in Calgary involves overseeing drilling operations while reporting to your project manager. Key responsibilities include monitoring Sonic/Mud Rotary drilling rigs, conducting geotechnical testing, and ensuring compliance with project specifications. You'll also log boreholes accurately and manage sample collection during your shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor Sonic/Mud Rotary/Dual Rotary drilling rigs • Conduct geotechnical testing and installations • Perform borehole logging per project standards • Ensure all borehole requirements are met • Transport samples to designated drop-off locations
Requirements: • Experience with geotechnical drilling and monitoring • Ability to work 12-hour shifts in the field • Knowledge of Unified Soil Classification System • Valid driver’s license for active mine areas • Solid attention to detail in logging and reporting
