Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, datasets, and data models

Write, review, and tune SQL queries, views, and stored procedures against ERP and in-house application databases

Develop and maintain Crystal Reports and support report users

Translate management requests into defined reporting requirements and confirm definitions before building

Apply consistent visual design to reports and dashboards

Administer reporting infrastructure on Windows Server, including scheduled jobs, permissions, service accounts, file shares, and report distribution

Contribute light HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap front-end work and embed reports and dashboards into application pages

Prepare presentation materials, one-page summaries, and project status reports for management and senior management

Use Git and GitHub for version control of report definitions, SQL, and related code

Verify reported figures against source systems and investigate discrepancies

Document data sources, report definitions, measures, and reporting processes

Provide training and support to report consumers throughout the organization

Use AI-assisted tools responsibly and remain accountable for delivered queries, measures, and figures

Perform analysis and reporting tasks as required

Work alongside full stack developers and a project coordinator at Tayco's Etobicoke facility

Requirements

Must have post-secondary education in business intelligence, computer science, information systems, statistics, or a related field, or 3-5 years of industry experience in a business intelligence or data analysis role

Must have demonstrated proficiency with Power BI, including data modelling, DAX measures, Power Query, report design, and management of publishing and scheduled refreshes

Must have strong SQL skills, including joins,



aggregation, window functions, views, and query performance tuning against relational databases

Experience developing and maintaining Crystal Reports is required

Working knowledge of Windows Server administration for reporting, including scheduled tasks, permissions, service accounts, file shares, and report distribution

Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap for small changes to existing web application pages and report embedding

Must be able to use Git and GitHub for version control, including branching, pull requests, and code review

Must be able to use AI-assisted tools effectively and with judgement

Ability to apply sound visual design judgement to reporting

Ability to gather reporting requirements from management and confirm intent before building

Ability to present findings clearly to non-technical audiences

Ability to investigate questionable figures and trace them to source systemsAbility to work effectively within a small cross‑functional team

Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills

Good communication, organizational, prioritization, and attention‑to‑detail skills

Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical applications

Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages

Ability to deal with complex situations involving several variables

Must have capacity to make departmental decisions/recommendations improving operating efficiency

Core Competencies Proficient in Power BI report design, data modeling, and SQL query optimization, with a strong ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Experienced in Windows Server administration and capable of delivering transparent presentations to non-technical stakeholders.
