Lios Technologies is a small company with big skills. We develop technical communication solutions of all sizes, including user manuals, online help, and training materials, for organizations of all sizes, mostly in the IT and manufacturing industries.

What you’ll do

At Lios, we devote our energies to creating all kinds of tools and solutions for technical communication and knowledge transfer. We’re just as valuable at creating installation, user, and maintenance manuals as we are at writing online help, training materials, Web content, and so on.

We are looking for someone who can:

- Gather information from clients
- Coordinate in-house and external collaborators (copyeditors, translators, graphic designers, etc.)
- Write technical content for industries such as software, machinery, high technology, and manufacturing
- Presenting information in graphics (diagrams, images, etc.) for documentation
- Manage documentation revision processes with clients

- Ability to see things from the user’s or learner's perspective
- Analytical mind and ease in understanding information
- Desire and ability to understand how different software applications, machines, and tools work
- Great teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently
- Adaptability to changing needs and deliverables
- Strong organizational skills

We’ll be impressed if you have a solid knowledge of:

- The Microsoft Office suite
- MadPak Suite (Flare, Lingo, Capture), Adobe tools (FrameMaker, InDesign, RoboHelp), or similar software
- Camtasia, Snagit, or similar software
- Jira, Confluence, Slack, and other project management tools

What we require

- Degree in a relevant field (engineering, communications, computer science, writing, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (good knowledge of French is an asset)
- At least two years of experience in technical writing
