Job DescriptionAs a Quotations & Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for interacting with engineers, contractors, business owners and interpreting project requirements to create competitive quotations and submittal packages. You will provide exceptional customer service required to secure the sale and meet or exceed gross profit targets. In addition, you will negotiate with vendors to obtain the best pricing, delivery, and terms of purchase to ensure optimal order fill rates and high levels of customer satisfaction for project material. You will also analyze and manage processes at the Profit Centre, solve problems and continually strive to find the most effective methods for productivity improvements. You will be accountable for implementing change and training the teammates involved.Additional DutiesInterpret complex information including civil plans to determine customer requirements and offer solutions that maximize profitability and create high levels of customer satisfactionCreate accurate and professional quotation packages from customer specifications/drawings using applicable softwareNegotiate pricing and delivery terms with both vendors and customers; expedite orders when requiredFollow up on outstanding quotations to secure orders and improve upon the process and effectivenessInvestigate customer and vendor problems, and resolve pricing shortfalls and material returns in a timely mannerSupport the Profit Centre Team as an expert in the specifics around projects and operationsSchedule and train teammates to ensure efficient, effective,
and profitable operations at the Profit CentreAnalyze data and implement appropriate strategies to increase sales, improve operating efficiencies, manage assets, and increase ROI and profit sharing in conjunction with the sales team and Profit Centre ManagerReview daily sales reports and address issues immediatelyManage the annual physical inventory count; ensure the count is done efficiently and accurately by evaluating inventory reports regularlyResolve all customer, vendor and carrier complaints and disputes quickly and effectivelyUnderstand and follow all safety regulations at all customer locations as well as at the Profit CentrePerform other tasks as requested by the Profit Centre ManagerQualificationsCollege and/or University degreeA minimum of 2 years of wholesale distribution experienceValid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstractProficient in the use of the Microsoft Office softwarePossess a robust work ethic and a high standard of integrityCreate a positive team workplace, training and inspiring the team to do their best work and to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfactionHigh energy with strong communication skills to build strong working relationships with customers,
