Become a pivotal part of CPKC's success as a Bridge Engineer, based out of Calgary or Toronto. This position emphasizes safety and effective management of bridge infrastructure with extensive travel requirements.

This role involves assessing bridge conditions and developing investment priorities to mitigate risks observed during inspections. Your expertise will ensure smooth operations in the structures department, as you lead initiatives aimed at enhancing rail safety and reliability. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and implement strategic inspection plans.

Key Responsibilities: • Carry out periodic and emergency bridge inspections • Accompany inspectors to verify quality and compliance • Manage bridge asset databases and inspection vehicles • Balance risk management with operational needs • Audit bridge inspection standards for regulatory compliance

Requirements: • Civil Engineering degree with P.Eng. licensure • At least 5 years of relevant experience • Solid written and verbal communication skills • Capacity to work in confined spaces and elevated heights • Engagement in on-call emergency tasks
