Vehicle Dynamics Engineer Location: Windsor, ON N8W 5B5 Position: Long term Contract Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite V2Soft is looking for a Vehicle Dynamics Engineer
to support vehicle dynamics performance optimization and development using state-of-the-art driving simulator technology.
Key Responsibilities
Perform subjective vehicle performance evaluations using a driving simulator to validate suspension architecture and tire/steering requirements.
Support and/or lead vehicle programs involving optimization of
suspension, steering, and tires
for full-vehicle Ride & Handling.
Work with Advanced Packaging, Chassis, and Powertrain teams to establish suspension and steering architectural hardpoints.
Analyze and optimize vehicle dynamics performance to achieve desired vehicle functionality.
Support suspension, steering,
and tire tuning activities at proving grounds.
Operate and support Driving Simulator activities.
Prepare technical documentation and development results for management reviews.
Perform subjective vehicle evaluations at
Chelsea Proving Grounds
as required.
Required Skills
Master’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent ABET-accredited program
3+ years of vehicle dynamics simulation experience preferred
Hands‑on experience with
ADAMS/Car and/or CarSim
Experience with
Ride & Handling, Kinematics & Compliance (K&C;)
Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics theory and applications
Experience with subjective Ride & Handling evaluations
Strong analytical, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills
Valid driving license
Legally eligible to work in Canada
Ability to travel to the USA
Preferred Experience
Suspension/steering system kinematics and compliance testing & simulation
Full vehicle Ride & Handling simulation and testing
Driving Simulator environment
Vehicle dynamics data analysis and management‑level reporting
