About the position As our company continues to grow, we need to recruit a Timberframe Foreman. The purpose of this role is to lead the timber framing crew both on the shop floor and on job sites and to undertake timber framing tasks as part of the team to exceptional standards.
Location This full-time position is based at our shop in Golden, BC. Travel as required in BC and Alberta to client job sites for onsite installations.

Duties and Responsibilities
Coordination and organization of crew members in the shop, and on a job-site when appointed as supervisor
Uphold the accuracy, quality and safety of work performed in the shop and on job-sites
Ensure shop procedures are followed by all crew members
Lead by example with quality & efficiency of workmanship
Teach proper tool and equipment use and trade techniques to the crew in the shop and on jobsites when required
Accurate interpretation of shop drawings
Monitor the time and ensure daily break schedules and finish times are adhered to by all crew members
Assist crew members with properly filling out daily time entries
Receiving shipments, checking shipment completeness and quality including length, cross section, FOH content, and moisture content of kiln-dried wood
Ensure completeness of packaging for shipment to site, including all timbers, pegs, connectors, fasteners, specialty hardware etc
Key Requirements We would love to hear from you if you can offer us the following skills and experience:
Minimum 5 years of proven experience in carpentry, timber framing or log building
Minimum 2 years of proven experience as a foreman / crew lead / supervisor Proficient with timber framing tools
Ability to read and interpret drawings
Ability to lead and manage crews
Experienced with timber frame joinery and structural systems
Need to be physically strong to move heavy timbers and able to work confidently at heights on ladders, scaffolding, and beams
Ability to work alone on assigned tasks and together as part of a cohesive team
Demonstrated commitment to exceptional standards of work
A full clean driving license
Canadian Citizen or Valid Work Permit for a minimum of 2 years
Compensation $35.00-$40.00/per hour
