The Louis Riel School Division is seeking an exceptional educational leader to join a highly collaborative and forward-thinking senior leadership team as the Assistant Superintendent of Student & Clinical Services. Serving 17,548 students across 41 schools, Louis Riel School Division is recognized for its commitment to inclusion, student success, innovation, and meaningful community engagement. Reporting to the Superintendent & CEO, the Assistant Superintendent of Student & Clinical Services will bring strategic vision, operational strength, and people-centred leadership to the work of strengthening inclusive practices and ensuring every student in Louis Riel School Division experiences success, belonging, and inclusion. The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

Responsibilities As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the successful candidate will assume shared executive

responsibility for advancing LRSD’s vision, Multi-Year Strategic Plan, and organizational effectiveness. Workingin close partnership with the Senior Leadership Team, the successful candidate will:

Contribute to long-term financial and operational planning.

Serve as the Superintendent for an assigned Family of schools.

Be a champion of inclusive education and evidence-informed practice.

Engage in the performance assessment of principals and other direct reports.

Inspire excellence and build leadership capacity throughout the organization.

Contribute to the selection of school and other system leaders.

The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and oversight of:

Student Services

Clinical Services

Provincial Reporting and Accountability

Inclusive Education Programming

Divisional Assessments

Staffing Allocations and Grant Administration

Educational Programming at Monterey, the division's transitional learning space for students in Grades7-12.

Direct supervision includes the Director of School & Classroom Support and the Assistant Director of ClinicalServices.



This role will play a critical part in strengthening inclusive practices and ensuring students receiveequitable access to the supports and programming they need to thrive academically, socially, emotionally, andphysically.

Qualifications (Education & Experience)

Advanced degree in Education

Permanent Manitoba Teacher Certificate

Minimum of five (5) years of successful educational leadership experience, including school and/or divisionalleadership

Knowledge of pertinent provincial legislation

Demonstrated experience in leading professional development, supervision, and curriculum implementation.

Demonstrated experience in leading and supporting student services, clinical services, and/or specializedprogramming.

Exemplary verbal and written communication skills in both English and French (an asset).

Conditions of Employment

Work is primarily in an office setting.

Will be required to work beyond normal working hours, including some evenings and weekends.

Satisfactory Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search.

Clear Report from the Child Abuse Registry.
