UAP is seeking a detail-oriented Customs Compliance Specialist to join the Transport Team on a temporary basis. Enhance operational effectiveness through data-driven analysis and compliance auditing.
This position plays a pivotal role in supporting UAP's logistics by analyzing customs documentation and serving as a vital contact point for logistics solutions. Ideal candidates should have a diploma in operations management or logistics and possess at least three years of related experience. You will interact closely with the customs broker to ensure adherence to regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Determine accurate HS codes and reduce customs duties • Partner with departments to address logistics challenges • Perform analyses supporting transport project decisions • Communicate with customs brokers to resolve issues • Audit documentation for compliance with customs laws
Requirements: • At least 3 years in customs compliance or transport • Relevant diploma required, customs certificate an asset • Robust understanding of CUSMA and customs regulations • Excel expertise for analysis tasks • Must be bilingual in French and English
