Infectious Disease Prevention and Management Program is seeking a Safety Assistant to support home care agencies and health facilities. Be involved in quality disease management and outbreak response, collaborating with various healthcare sectors. Your strong organizational skills and safety expertise will guide key practices and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct respiratory protection fit testing services • Support Occupational Health Nurses with fit testing • Assist in communicable disease prevention initiatives • Collaborate on OHSW-Infectious Disease specific policies • Provide education and consultation on disease management
Requirements: • Post-secondary diploma in Occupational Health & Safety • Minimum two years of relevant experience • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Valid Nova Scotia driver’s license required
