The Ontario SPCA seeks a dedicated Animal Care Attendant (ACA) to work directly with animals in need. This role focuses on creating a nurturing atmosphere where animals receive care, exercise, and enrichment. Supporting client services will enhance the experience for visitors at our center.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide feeding, exercise, and engagement for animals
• Carry out cleaning duties and ensure disinfection protocols
• Assist with animal health, including grooming and vaccinations
• Maintain detailed records and report health concerns
• Actively promote the organization through social media and fundraising
Requirements:
• Ability to lift and manage 40 lbs and 100 lbs
• Valid G driver’s license and clean abstract
• Flexibility for weekends and holidays
• Experience in animal care or related education preferred
• Previous experience in customer service is a plus
