This role at Sandgate Women’s Shelter involves providing crisis counseling and supportive services to women facing violence. Collaborating with a dedicated team, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe and inclusive setting, ensuring that the needs of women and children are prioritized.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver supportive counseling via crisis support line and in-person
• Participate in intake and discharge processes for service users
• Develop individualized service delivery plans for clients




• Facilitate cooperative living and maintain shelter standards
• Monitor compliance with organizational policies and safety procedures
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in relevant discipline
• Proven experience working in gender-based violence services
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with community resources in York Region
• Must be available for overnight shifts
