About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join its executive team. The COO will be a strategic and hands-on leader, responsible for setting and driving the operational vision, strategy, and employment capacity. This critical role involves translating strategic priorities into operational plans, goal setting, service delivery standards, and performance management. The successful candidate will oversee the delivery of security services across the province, establish service standards, and ensure consistent delivery. Additionally, the COO will provide executive oversight of the RFP process, lead contract negotiations, and work closely with the CFO on budget planning. The role also includes ensuring compliance with contractual, legislative, and policy requirements, as well as fostering strong relationships with clients, government partners, and the national federation.





Candidates for the COO position at the company should have a university degree or equivalent experience, with a professional designation or master’s degree being an asset. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading large, complex operations, with a focus on service quality, client satisfaction, and employee performance. Strong experience in contract management, budgeting, and people leadership is essential. The COO must be a skilled negotiator, a sound decision-maker, and possess the ability to navigate complex operational and employee matters. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are required, as is a valid Nova Scotia Driver’s Licence and the necessary federal security clearance. The role demands a team-oriented, hands-on executive with an adaptable leadership style, committed to service excellence and capable of balancing immediate operational needs with long-term growth opportunities.
