About the Opportunity: The
Client Service Specialist (CSS)
provides Relationship Managers with the support needed to seamlessly service new and existing clients across Commercial Banking Distribution. Acting as a primary point of contact, this role coordinates with internal partners and works directly with clients to collect key onboarding information, resolve service needs, and support ongoing day-to-day banking requirements.
Acting as the primary point of contact for our clients, the
CSS
is responsible for coordinating efforts with internal partners and directly reaching out to clients to accurately collect all key information required for Onboarding and end to end servicing clients with their ongoing day-to-day banking needs. The role is specific to servicing all segments in Commercial Banking Distribution.
How You Will Make an Impact:
Resolve client inquiries and challenges , educating customers on processes and setting
clear expectations
around timelines.
Deliver
quality customer experiences
while adhering to
service level agreements
and escalating when required.
Ensure every
client experience
is consistent with
Scotiabank’s service standards , with customer concerns resolved
quickly
and efficiently.
Champion a
customer-focused culture
by building and deepening relationships with
clients and internal partners .
Support the
accurate and timely collection
of information from clients and other sources to assess
client risk profiles
and meet
regulatory and compliance requirements .
Coordinate with
various departments
to ensure
client accounts
are activated
promptly and correctly .
Provide
ongoing support
to clients during
initial onboarding
and continued
account usage .
Educate clients on
banking channels and tools
that support their
day-to-day business banking needs , including cheques,
debit cards, and branch services.
Consider the Bank’s
risk appetite
and
risk culture
in day-to-day activities and decisions.
Actively pursue
effective and efficient operations
in accordance with

What You Will Bring to the Team: You bring a strong customer-service mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a high volume of client and partner requests. You are organized, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, where accuracy, communication, and follow-through are essential.
Must-have:
Education:
College or University degree, or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
1 to 3 years of equivalent work experience in Financial Services, Commercial Banking, Small Business, or a related industry.
Strong commitment
to accuracy, customer focus, and results.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to coordinate and prioritize a high volume of concurrent service requests.
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to engage stakeholders and clients.
Knowledge of
client onboarding ,
Know Your Customer , and
Anti-Money Laundering
processes.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications , including Outlook and Teams.
Flexibility to adapt
to a wide variety of tasks and changing priorities.
Nice-to-have:
Experience supporting
Commercial Banking
or
Small Business
clients.
Familiarity with
client onboarding ,
servicing , and
account activation
processes.
Experience working with
multiple internal partners
to resolve
client needs
and deliver
timely outcomes .
Comfort educating clients on
banking tools ,
channels , and
service options .
