Extendicare Country Side is seeking a part time Dietary Aide in Sudbury, Ontario, focused on meal preparation, serving, and maintaining kitchen standards within a care home.
In this role, you will support the Dietary Manager by serving meals and assisting in food preparation at our long-term care home. Your responsibilities will include ensuring cleanliness in cooking, storage, and serving areas while adhering to established policies and safety protocols. Assisting Cooks and participating in in-service programs will form part of your duties.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve meals according to individual dietary needs
• Prepare and clean basic food items with Cooks
• Operate kitchen dishwashers and clean various utensils
• Ensure proper storage and labeling of food
• Stock kitchenettes and assemble nourishment carts
Requirements:
• Must have or be enrolled in Food Handlers Program
• Preferably 0-1 year dietary experience
• Must be able to stand long hours
• Basic comprehension of English verbal and written
• Capable of moderate to heavy lifting
