Join the London Public Library as a Facility Services Mechanic, responsible for maintaining secure and energy-efficient buildings. This role is essential for ensuring all library properties are well-kept and functional.

In this permanent full-time position, you will work under the supervision of Facility Services, performing repairs and inspections on mechanical, electrical, structural, plumbing, and sewage systems. Collaboration with contractors and communication with library staff is crucial for effective service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:



• Conduct preventive maintenance across library buildings • Perform monthly inspections for safety compliance • Manage energy efficiency measures in building operations • Resolve emergencies and assist with building issues • Maintain communication with stakeholders and contractors

Requirements: • BES Operator Certificate Class 1 & 2 required • Minimum 3 years of experience with building systems • Strong communication skills both orally and in writing • Valid Ontario G Driver's License required • Ability to handle emergency call-ins and flexible hours
