Elk Valley Resources is seeking undergraduate Electrical Engineering students for an 8 or 12-month co-op starting in January 2027. This position encompasses troubleshooting electrical systems, supporting maintenance efforts, and collaborating with engineering teams on projects. Your contributions will enhance safety and operational efficiency at coal mining operations in British Columbia.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in health and safety programs and policies
• Generate job plans for mobile mining equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical failures and analyze issues
• Collaborate on project management and scheduling
• Update site line drawings using AutoCAD
Requirements:
• Pursuing an Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with Power Systems preferred
• Familiarity with AutoCAD is an asset
