As a Production Group Leader, the individual is responsible for supervising a group of employees involved in production, or operations. The group is responsible for quality products in a protected, and timely manner! Some of the problem‑solving work is of a technical nature.
This type of work requires the ability to make timely decisions within specified limits, that the individual can effectively cope with change, and can comfortably handle risk and uncertainty. Furthermore, the Production Group Leader can expect to be collaborating on innovation challenges, interacting with industry leaders, attending skilled trade events, and volunteering for community service activities. Several departments currently have openings for a Production Group Leader, including Body, Sub‑Assembly and Stamping.
Supervise hourly represented employees in a unionized environment Ensure quality levels are maintained and improved every day Maintain and exceed efficiency levels through continuous improvements Effective use of personnel,
material and equipment Align with terms of local and national labour agreements Maintain department records and complete various administrative tasks Shift rotations and flexible to work weekends and overtime as required Pursuit of a Bachelors Degree (3rd or 4th year) in Computer Science, Engineering (Computer, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Automotive Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent), Supply Chain, Business, Commerce Eligible to work full‑time (40 hours per week) in Canada and for 8, 12 or 16 months (consecutive semesters) starting January 2027 Willing to work in a plant environment and flexible hours (shift work, weekends, and overtime) to meet business needs Prior manufacturing experience, knowledge of production environments, and in automotive industry are considered assets Outstanding leadership, interpersonal, and relationship management skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with varying levels of the organization Consistently demonstrates innovative thinking that is customer‑centric Excellent project management skills and the proven ability to manage numerous projects at any given Fundamental digital literacy including understanding of MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. The salary range for this role is $4264- $4784 CAD. THIS JOB IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RELOCATIONS BENEFITS.
