Lead and inspire Indigenous student success at the University of Manitoba as the Director of the Indigenous Student Centre. This role focuses on supporting and empowering Indigenous students throughout their academic journeys.
As a collaborative and visionary leader, you will report to the Associate Vice-President (Indigenous) Students, overseeing the centre's mission to foster belonging, well-being, and academic excellence. Your strategic leadership will be crucial in developing programs that support Indigenous achievement while working with students, faculties, and community partners to enhance their experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead Indigenous Student Centre operations and initiatives
• Develop programs that enhance student success and well-being
• Foster relationships with students and community partners
• Oversee budget management for the Centre
• Promote Indigenous perspectives and reconciliation efforts
Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in Education, Management, or related discipline
• Minimum five years' leadership experience in a similar role
• Experience working with Indigenous communities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Solid problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
Drive change and create supportive academic environments for Indigenous students at the University of Manitoba.
