About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Engineering to play a pivotal role in the strategic planning and deployment of specialized technical capabilities for large-scale transmission infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the technical resources required for the secure, cost-effective, and on-schedule execution of transmission line development and construction are in place and aligned with project execution. This role demands a leader with a strong background in engineering, particularly in the design, development, and delivery of high voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission systems. The VP will be accountable for partnering with business development to lead the development of an integrated resource strategy, maintaining technical excellence and quality standards, and managing strategic partnerships with EPC firms, engineering consultants,



and contractors.

Applicants for the Vice President, Engineering position at the company should have a relevant engineering designation with over 12 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure, utilities, or energy projects. The role requires a proven track record in executive-level management of multidisciplinary engineering and technical teams, as well as significant experience in transmission, power systems, or major capital project delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project lifecycle phases, workforce implications, and experience in resource planning and workforce strategy. Key competencies include strategic orientation, execution focus, influence and partnership, decision-making under uncertainty, risk management, and operational excellence. The VP will also be expected to champion a culture of safety, quality, and accountability, and to provide technical leadership that enhances the commercial viability and execution certainty of projects.
