The University Health Network in Toronto is hiring a full time Veterinary Technician for its multi-site Animal Resource Centre. You will engage in essential animal husbandry, conduct health monitoring, and provide technical services. Collaborating with veterinarians, you will be instrumental in maintaining the welfare of various species under your care.

Key Responsibilities:



• Conduct colony management and animal husbandry practices • Ensure compliance with health monitoring and environmental standards • Administer treatments and maintain health records for animals • Perform tissue collection and necropsy as directed • Alert staff regarding animal health issues efficiently

Requirements: • Completion of a Veterinary Technology program • At least one year of hands-on experience required • Previous laboratory animal facility experience preferred • WHMIS training necessary; Excel and Word proficiency • Capacity to lift 50 lbs and work independently
