ABI) is looking Office Assistant based in Winnipeg, Manitoba to join our team and play an important role in keeping our administrative operations running smoothly.
The Office
Assistant will report to the Controller and support a wide range of administrative and operational activities, including communications and event coordination, employee services, purchasing and invoicing, safety and compliance documentation, inventory management, vacation and overtime tracking, and production reporting. Provide administrative support across Finance, Operations, Maintenance, Process Engineering, Production Control, and other business functions as required. Coordinate employee services and scheduling , including vaccinations, hearing tests, and hearing protection/ear plug fittings.
Support purchasing and financial administration by matching purchase orders with receiving documentation, processing PPE expense reimbursements, and preparing invoices for recycled and scrap material sales. Coordinate customer documentation , including forwarding invoices, shipping documentation, and other required information to customers. Maintain safety and compliance documentation , including material safety documentation for approved chemicals and contractor safety records.
Support operations administration , including tracking overtime and vacation, entering vacation requests into UKG, and maintaining related records. Maintain office and plant supplies and inventories , including consumables and breakroom supplies,
ensuring required materials are available when needed. Support quality and production processes by maintaining process and quality assurance documentation, tracking material orders, and closing orders upon completion.
Maintain and report production data , including tracking and entering information for the daily production report and ensuring records are accurate and up to date. 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word. ~3+ years of experience working in an office or administrative setting Experience working in a manufacturing environment would be an asset. Post secondary education in an administrative program would be an asset This is a 100% on-site position based at 170 Saulteaux Crescent, Winnipeg, MB, Canada .
