Hand in hand with Indigenous communities, drive academic growth in the role of Manager, Indigenous Academics and Research at Mohawk College. This full time position focuses on developing and managing Indigenous educational initiatives.
Reporting to the Director of the Centre for Indigenous Relations, Knowledge, and Learning, you'll lead strategic planning and operational oversight of Indigenous programs and research activities. Working closely with faculty, academic leaders, and the Indigenous community, you will support curriculum development and ensure the integration of Indigenous knowledge in education.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and evaluation of Indigenous academic initiatives
• Build lasting relationships with Indigenous partners and communities
• Ensure compliance with Indigenous research protocols
• Monitor project progress and provide updates
• Support strategic planning for Indigenous academics
Requirements:
• Degree/diploma in Indigenous Education or a related field
• Minimum five years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of Indigenous history and cultural dynamics
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work with diverse student populations
