the Finance Controller is a strategic leadership role responsible for steering the finance department and driving major system initiatives. This role oversees two direct reports who manage high-volume merchant settlements, the financial close process, internal and external reporting, audits, and international subsidiary accounting. The successful candidate will act as the primary executive liaison for internal, external, CRA and lender audits, and high‑level treasury functions while maintaining a robust internal control environment. Keep reading… In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to: Serving as a strategic advisor to the Managing Director of Risk and Finance and senior executive team, translating complex financial data into actionable business intelligence and long‑term strategic plans. Directing the overarching financial strategy, reviewing profit/cost center analyses and P&L variances to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities. Retaining ultimate accountability for the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, ensuring strict adherence to IFRS requirements.
