Assistant Controller Our client is a well-established commercial real estate organization seeking a CPA for an Assistant Controller role reporting to the Controller. Oversee and review property accounting activities Review CAM, realty tax, tenant recoveries and billings Review monthly reconciliations, HST filings and financial reporting Support year-end audits and review working papers Oversee MPAC submissions and tax recoveries Lead, coach and develop the property accounting team Drive process improvements, automation and system efficiencies Partner with Property Management and resolve complex accounting issues CPA from public accounting, ideally Senior/Manager level, with commercial real estate exposure; or CPA with robust property accounting, ASPE Experience with CAM, recoveries, realty tax and tenant accounting Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills AI may be used to support certain administrative aspects of our recruitment process.
