The University of British Columbia invites applications for an Assistant Professor in U-Pb Geochronology. Help shape the future of Earth sciences with cutting-edge teaching and research. This tenure-track position in the Department of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences seeks an expert in U-Pb methods applied to various geological processes.

You will leverage UBC’s world-class facilities for impactful research while mentoring students and shaping the curriculum. Expect to build a recognized research program backed by external funding and display strong academic productivity. Key Responsibilities:

- Build an externally funded research program in geochronology
- Mentor graduate and postdoctoral researchers
- Teach courses in Earth sciences and beyond
- Contribute to the development of PCIGR facilities
- Participate in community and university services Requirements:
- Completed Ph.D. in Earth Sciences by appointment date
- Outstanding track record in U-Pb geochronology
- Proven research productivity through publications
