Role Description The Assistant Store Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Toronto, ON, directly supporting the Store Owners in daily operations and client experience. This role includes managing day-to-day store operations, supervising sales floor, coaching team members, strategy and driving traffic, and ensuring that every client receives attentive, high-quality service that reflects vert’s commitment to contemporary luxury.

The Assistant Store

Manager helps manage inventory, visual merchandising, and store presentation, while also monitoring sales performance and contributing to daily, weekly, and monthly targets. Day-to-day responsibilities include handling customer concerns,



overseeing opening and closing procedures, supporting loss prevention efforts, and maintaining a safe, organized workplace. The role also involves collaborating on client outreach, special events, and initiatives that strengthen relationships with the local and global client community.

Qualifications

- Strong customer service and customer satisfaction skills, with a focus on building long-term client relationships.
- Experience in store management and retail operations, including supervising staff and supporting daily workflows.
- Excellent communication skills, both in-person and in writing, with the ability to engage a diverse clientele and team.
- Knowledge of retail loss prevention practices and attention to detail in safeguarding merchandise and store assets.
- Previous experience in fashion, luxury retail, or boutique environments is an asset.
- Proven ability to lead by example, support a positive team culture, and work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Comfort with basic point-of-sale systems, inventory tracking tools, and standard retail technology.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as required by retail operations.
