About the Role

Martino is looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and motivated Associate Designer to join our growing Design team. The successful candidate will support the development of design concepts, layouts, technical drawings, and project documentation from initial concept through completion.

Working closely with designers, engineers, project managers, clients, and other stakeholders, the Associate Designer will help translate project requirements into practical, functional, and visually effective design solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging designer looking to develop their technical and creative skills while gaining experience across a variety of projects and industries.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and modify technical and design drawings using AutoCAD and REVIT.
- Assist with design concept development, space planning, layouts, finishes, fixtures, millwork, and detailed design documentation.
- Prepare and maintain working drawings, layouts, presentations, and other project documentation.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, designers, project managers, contractors, and clients.
- Interpret project requirements, sketches,



specifications, and other source information and incorporate them into design drawings.
- Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and consistency with project requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve design quality, efficiency, and the design production process.
- Maintain organized electronic project files and assist with project closeout.
- Ensure work complies with applicable codes, standards, and Company technical and design standards.
- Support special projects and other duties as required.

Qualifications

- Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Architectural Technology, Engineering Technology, HVAC Technology, or a related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of related design, drafting, architectural, engineering, or construction experience preferred.
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD and REVIT.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Experience with 3D modelling, rendering, or visualization software is an asset.
- Knowledge of residential and commercial construction practices.
- Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code is an asset.
- BCIN certification and/or HRAI certification is an asset.
- Robust attention to detail, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.




- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- A collaborative attitude with a willingness to learn and take on increasing responsibility.

We are looking for someone who is creative, technically minded, curious, and eager to grow their career in design. Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour based on skill/experience

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, weekend and overtime when required

Work Location: In person
