Join J.D. Irving's Cavendish Farms as a Temporary Potato Receiving Grader. This pivotal role involves operating graders and ensuring high-quality potato processing on rotating shifts. As a Potato Receiving Grader/Receiver Operator, you will play an essential role in the quality control of incoming potatoes.
You will be responsible for conducting gravity measurements, performing color tests, and organizing potato totes. Assisting co-workers during processing downtime and participating in Centralized Grading is also crucial to the position. Key Responsibilities:
Organize potato tote bags for daily grading
Conduct regular gravity measurements of potatoes
Prepare samples for color testing and assessment
Unload incoming potatoes and monitor product placement
Perform daily clean-up of work areas Requirements:
Positive ability in basic mathematics
Willingness to work overtime as needed
Physical capability to perform job duties
Basic computer skills required
