The Waterloo Region District School Board is seeking an Educational Assistant for a current vacancy. Ideal candidates will hold appropriate qualifications such as an Educational Assistant Diploma or relevant degree, and have experience supporting special needs children.

A Physical Demands test will be required before employment.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist students with special needs in the classroom
Support educational programs in collaboration with teachers
Maintain communication with staff and parents regarding student progress




Implement behavioral management strategies as needed
Provide individual and group support for special needs children

Requirements:
EA Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
Minimum one year of experience with special needs children
Behaviour Management Systems certification preferred
Training in Autism Spectrum Disorder is a plus
Ability to pass a Physical Demands test
