Mainroad Mid-Island Contracting LP is seeking a skilled Trade Journeyman Mechanic in Nanaimo, BC. This role emphasizes the maintenance and repair of company vehicles and equipment. Based at the Duke Point yard, you’ll join a unionized workforce where your qualifications—including a B.C.

Certificate and three years of related experience—are essential. You will be responsible for conducting inspections, performing repairs both in the shop and in the field, and ensuring safety compliance at all times. Key Responsibilities:

- Diagnose, service, and repair fleet vehicles as needed
- Complete all necessary maintenance documentation
- Maintain a clean and secure workspace
- Follow company safety protocols diligently
- Perform field repairs at various job sites

Requirements:

- B.C. Certificate of Qualification in a mechanical field
- Valid class 5 driver’s license; class 3 preferred
- Experience with fleet maintenance is an asset
- Familiarity with welding and fabrication is a plus
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
