We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Data Engineer with strong expertise in Data Warehousing, Data Engineering, and AWS Cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong domain knowledge in Banking and Financial Services and hands-on experience designing and implementing large-scale data platforms, data pipelines, migration, and modernization initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing scalable AWS data solutions, building enterprise data lakes and warehouses, implementing ETL/ELT processes, and supporting migration from legacy platforms such as IBM Netezza to contemporary AWS cloud architecture.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and workflows on AWS
- Build and manage enterprise data lakes and data warehouses using Amazon S3 and Amazon Redshift
- Develop ETL/ELT processes using AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Apache Spark, and related technologies
- Implement batch and streaming data ingestion frameworks
- Optimize data ingestion, transformation, and loading processes for performance and scalability
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and support data pipelines and workflows
- Design cloud-native data solutions following AWS best practices
- Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance standards




- Implement monitoring using AWS CloudWatch and manage access controls using AWS IAM
- Improve platform performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency
- Analyze existing IBM Netezza environments and develop migration strategies to AWS Data Lake architecture
- Ensure feature parity and optimal performance during migration and modernization initiatives
- Support deployment, production releases, and post-deployment validation
- Perform unit testing and support QA, SIT, performance, and UAT activities
- Automate deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines

Required Skills & Experience

- Extensive experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, and AWS Cloud
- Strong experience with Amazon S3, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, and Amazon Redshift
- Experience with AWS Step Functions, IAM, and CloudWatch
- Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT design and development
- Experience designing scalable data lakes and data warehouse architectures
- Hands-on experience with data migration and modernization
- Experience working with IBM Netezza and migrating workloads to AWS
- Experience with Apache Spark and large-scale data processing
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipeline implementation
- Experience with data security, governance, quality, and compliance
- Strong Banking and Financial Services domain knowledge
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills
