Powell's Supermarket, Carbonear, is now hiring a part-time Bakery Clerk!

Are you a motivated, quick learner and skilled at working in a fast-paced setting? If so, Powell’s Supermarket is the place for you! We are currently seeking a reliable individual to join our outstanding team!

Job Responsibilities:

- Responsible for operating, cleaning and maintenance of the Bakery
- Providing friendly/ top-notch customer service
- Icing, decorating, packaging, labeling, and pricing products
- Filling customer special orders, including wedding cakes
- Dynamically selling products by providing customers with information needed to make product-relation decisions
- Operating the Bakery department mixer
- Maintaining Occupational Health & Safety requirements
- Organizing and rotating stock in the freezer
- Various decorative work
- Keen eye for detail
- Primary role for this position will be bread baker

Desired Skills and Experience:

- Must possess strong organizational & time management skills
- Self-motivated
- Have a positive attitude and eager to learn




- Must be able to work with minimal supervision

Physical Environment:

- Requires the ability to reach, bend, balance, lift and transport various objects weighing up to 40 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift (assistance with heavy items provided)
- Must have the ability to stand, walk and / or move about for extended periods of time
- Requires bending, twisting or squatting
- Will involve frequent repetitive hand coordination
- Will be required to reach above shoulder height and below waist level
