Elevate children's experiences at the Waterloo Region District School Board as a Before and After School Support employee. This long-term occasional role involves collaboration with educators to foster a nurturing setting. As a B.A.S.S. employee, you will engage with children in junior kindergarten through grade 6, promoting play-based learning under the guidance of a Designated Early Childhood Educator.

Your focus will be on facilitating positive interactions, child self-regulation, and inclusive participation, ensuring each child thrives in both structured and free play. Key Responsibilities:

- Support learning and interactions in the extended day classroom
- Encourage self-regulation and positive communication among children




- Assist with indoor and outdoor play activities
- Foster parent engagement and communication regarding the program
- Ensure adherence to Child Care and Early Years Act requirements

Requirements:

- Minimum high school diploma or GED
- Experience in supervising and supporting children
- Valid First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Current Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Completion of health assessment requirements
