Maverick XM is expanding our event team across Prince Edward Island, and we're looking for outgoing, dependable, and energetic people to become part of our go-to PEI event team.

As a Brand Ambassador / Event Sampler, you'll represent a variety of brands at retail locations, community events, festivals, special events, and promotional activations throughout PEI.

A large part of the role will involve product and food sampling, engaging with customers, communicating key brand messaging, and creating a positive experience for everyone who interacts with the activation.

We're looking for people we can build a relationship with and regularly reach out to as new opportunities become available across the province.

What You'll Do

Depending on the activation, you may:

- Represent brands in a friendly, professional, and engaging manner
- Distribute food, beverage, or product samples
- Approach and engage customers attending the activation
- Explain products and communicate key brand messaging
- Answer basic customer questions
- Support retail, festival, community, and special-event activations
- Assist with setting up and tearing down activation materials
- Keep sampling and event areas clean, organized, and presentable
- Follow food-safety, sampling, and client requirements
- Take event photos and complete basic post-shift reporting when required

- Professional when representing Maverick XM and our clients
- Comfortable working independently
- Able to follow event instructions and brand guidelines
- Comfortable standing and interacting with customers for extended periods
- Flexible with their availability
- Available for a mixture of weekdays, evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays
- Willing and able to work at different locations throughout PEI

Previous experience in events, food sampling, hospitality, customer service, retail,



promotions, or brand ambassadorship is an asset, but it is not required. Access to reliable transportation and a valid driver's licence is a strong asset, as event locations may vary throughout Prince Edward Island.

Food & Sampling Certifications

Some of our activations involve food or beverage sampling and may require certifications such as food-handling or responsible service/sampling certifications.

Don't have the certification yet? That's okay.

If Maverick XM requires you to obtain a certification for the activations you'll be working, we will cover the cost of the required certification.

We'll provide the necessary information during onboarding or before the applicable activation.

Flexible, Event-Based Work

This is a part-time, casual, event-based position. Hours are not guaranteed and will depend on the events and campaigns we have running throughout PEI.

Some weeks may have several opportunities available, while other periods may be quieter.

We understand that casual staff have other commitments. Shifts are offered as opportunities become available, and you'll be able to confirm your availability for individual activations.

However, we're particularly interested in people with strong and flexible availability who can become reliable members of our PEI roster.
