About the role

DDS Wireless International is seeking a motivated, results-driven Business Development Representative to join our growing sales team, with a primary focus on our Scheduled Routes product. This is an outbound, lead-generation-focused role. You will identify and research prospective customers, build targeted prospect lists, initiate conversations through cold calling and cold emailing, qualify opportunities, and book discovery meetings for the sales team. The ideal candidate is persistent, confident communicating with senior decision-makers, highly organized, and energized by opening new doors.

This position is based in Vancouver, BC, Canada, and reports to the Global Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Responsibilities

- Generate qualified sales opportunities through high-volume cold calling, personalized cold emails, LinkedIn outreach, and other outbound prospecting activities.
- Research target companies, industries, and decision-makers to develop focused prospect lists and effective outreach strategies.
- Identify and qualify prospective customers based on their business needs, routing and scheduling challenges, budget, decision-making process, and timing.
- Conduct initial discovery calls and clearly communicate the value of DDS Wireless and Scheduled Routes solutions.

- Book qualified meetings and support smooth handoffs to Account Executives or senior sales leadership.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of new leads and opportunities through consistent daily outreach and follow-up.
- Create tailored email sequences, call scripts, and messaging that resonate with target customer segments.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of prospecting activities, leads, meetings, and opportunity stages in Salesforce.
- Follow up persistently and professionally with prospects across multiple channels to move them through the sales funnel.
- Stay informed about the routing, scheduling, transportation, logistics, and SaaS markets, including customer pain points and competitor activity.
- Work closely with sales, marketing, pre-sales, and customer success teams to improve lead quality, messaging, and conversion rates.
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking activities to identify new business opportunities.

Qualifications

- 2–5 years of experience in business development, sales development, lead generation, inside sales, or a similar outbound sales role.
- Demonstrated success generating leads through cold calling, cold emailing, and LinkedIn outreach.
- Comfortable making a high volume of daily outbound calls and sending personalized email campaigns.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage prospects professionally and confidently.
- A proactive “hunter” mentality, strong work ethic, and resilience when handling rejection.
- Experience researching accounts and identifying relevant decision-makers.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage follow-up activities, priorities, and prospect data accurately.
- Experience using CRM systems, ideally Salesforce.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, growth-oriented workplace.
- Interest in SaaS, transportation, logistics, routing, or scheduling technology.

Nice to Have

- Experience selling or generating leads for SaaS solutions.
- Experience in transportation, logistics, transit, fleet management, routing, or scheduling.
- Familiarity with sales engagement tools and prospecting platforms.
- Knowledge of AI-enabled routing, scheduling, or dispatch systems.
- An undergraduate degree.
