Cardiac SonographersWe are expanding our team! Come join us.One Heart Care is a leading state-of-the-art cardiology clinic and one of the largest in Canada. We are a place where patients can be seen by the right specialists at the right time and have the right testing, all available under one roof.We are growing and have 100+ team members and 30+ cardiologists. We are seeking exceptional casual Cardiac Sonographers to provide high-quality echocardiographic exams, compassionate patient care, and collaborative work to manage complex echocardiogram cases and ensure the best patient experience. This casual position may lead to full-time opportunities.Responsibilities:Perform echocardiographic exams: Conduct 2D, 3D, Doppler and Stress Echo examinations to assess cardiac function and structure.Prepare patients for testing: Explain procedures, position patients correctly, and ensure patient comfort.Utilize contrast agents: Set up IV and administer Ultrasound-enhancing agents (UEAs) as needed.Analyze and interpret results: Provide preliminary image analysis, identify abnormal findings, and communicate them to the interpreting physician.Document findings: Accurately record and input results and patient information into the (EMR) system.Collaborate with physicians: Work closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive diagnostic results.Ensure quality of images: Using critical thinking skills, investigating the referral indication by obtaining high-quality images. Adjust settings, optimize scanning techniques, and troubleshoot any challenges to ensure clear, high-quality images.Perform routine equipment maintenance: Follow cleaning protocols and notify appropriate personnel of equipment malfunctions.Adhere to safety protocols: Maintain patient safety by following infection control policies and operating equipment safely.Adhere to CMRITO Quality Assurance (QA) program: Maintain quality of practice and promote continuing evaluation, competence,
and professional improvement through ongoing education and self-assessment.Maintain accreditation standards: Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements (e.G., CorHealth standards)Participate in quality assurance activities: Contribute to peer reviews, interpretation reviews, educator days and other quality control measures.Train and mentor students: Provide guidance and instruction to cardiac sonography students or new hires as part of clinical training programs.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited program in Cardiac Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Adult EchocardiographyCertification with Sonography Canada/ARDMS and registered with CMRITO in valuable standingProfessional Liability Insurance (PLI)Minimum 3 years of experienceValid CPR certificateAbility to use EMR proficiently.
